About Us

Our Story

Sessa Plastering is a story that dates all the way back to Livorno, Italy in 1984 and continues to this very day.

As the story approaches its fifth decade, one thing has never changed – Sessa Plastering maintains the Old World craftsmanship, quality and integrity which were the core values the company was built upon.

Early Days in Italy

Antonino Sessa was born and raised in the region of Tuscany, in a town called Livorno. It was here that he developed his craft, mastering the core fundamentals as well as the finer details of plastering.

1984

With a dream of continuing to enhance his skills and prosper, Antonio arrives in the United States.

1991

Putting his expertise of E.I.F.S. and Stucco to use, Mr. Sessa opens his family owned and operated business, J.J.C. Stucco & Carpentry Corp. The company is still in business today.

2007

Sessa Plastering Corp is founded as a division of J.J.C. Stucco & Carpentry Corp. This specialized branch was created to take on diverse plaster projects of every scale, including applications of acoustical plaster, ornamental plaster, venetian plaster and cement plaster. Our expertise also extends to restoration. Using in-house fabrication, we can match existing plaster on ceilings and walls as well as create custom architectural moldings, GRG, GFRC panels and more. We collaborate directly with builders and architects to deliver the precise design you are striving to achieve.

Present Day

Since our founding, we have had the privilege and honor of putting our mark on some of New York City’s most notable landmarks. It brings us great pride to apply our specialized plastering services to iconic New York buildings such as Tiffany & Co.’s Flagship store on 5th Ave., The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Natural History as well as The Rainbow Room, Marriot Moxy Downtown NYC and The National 9/11 Museum.

Looking Toward the Future

As we continue to grow, our focus remains on delivering high-quality plastering services. Looking ahead, we remain committed to upholding our tradition of excellence and ensuring that each project reflects the elite craftsmanship that has defined us since our founding nearly four decades ago.
